TRAC Volunteers Make a Difference!
All volunteers receive training from TRAC staff before they begin any assignment.
Would you like to help educate the community about adoption and foster care issues?
Volunteers who would like to educate the community about adoption and foster care issues are trained by our Recruitment and Retention Department and help out at community events throughout the year.
Would you like to help a waiting child find the home he/she needs?
Volunteers who would like to help waiting children find the home they need work closely with our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter. Armed with information about specific waiting children these volunteers help recruit families at local churches, community events and various other methods.
Would you like to become a support to families going through the adoption process?
Volunteers who want to be a support to families going through the adoption process work closely with TRAC Retention workers to maintain contact with families as they progress through the adoption process to keep them engaged. Volunteers can provide support even after a family is placed by becoming a respite provider.
Would you like to be a mentor to a teen?
Yes! I want to become a TRAC volunteer
Teen mentors provide support to youth who are in Independent Living programs. These teens need support and direction in many areas including career and education counseling, peer relations and life skills. TRAC mentors are trained to provide this kind of support to teens in need.
